IndiaSkills Competition is the biggest skill competition in India held every two years exhibiting extraordinary talent from across the country with the support of State Governments and Industry. This year, with 20 plus States participating, IndiaSkills could reach out to the grassroot level and celebrate the power of skills.
Post the skill competitions held at district, state and regional level, IndiaSkills National Competition will be organized next year in 2020. The competitions will be conducted in partnership SSCs, Industry Partners and Academic Organizations.
Alongside IndiaSkills Competitions, Abilympics, Olympics of Abilities will also be organized featuring featuring persons with disability. The vocational skills competition is specifically designed for specially-abled individuals to express their unique talents.
IndiaSkills Competition, the country’s biggest skill championship, was organised in October 2018 in New Delhi. Competitors from 27 states and Union Territories showcased their skills in 46 trades, eight traditional skills and four demo skills. Along with IndiaSkills, Abilympics was also hosted for persons with disability (PwDs).
Post the initial screening at District level, the competitions will be hosted at state, regional and national level in numerous trade with the support of Industry partners. The winners of national level competitions will undergo training and get an opportunity to represent India at the WorldSkills Competitions.
